Our country is so beautiful in October that it deserves more than just one picture :) The pictures are taken from the photographer's paradise, Mount Sleme, where golden larches can be found.

i didn't have much time in October... The only thing I could do was go on a short trekking trip to the Tamar Valley (near Kranjska Gora) in Slovenia with my family, friends and a neighbour.
My friends and family stayed at the Tamar hut at the end of the Tamar valley, me and my neighbour hiked another 3 hours (4,5 hours in total) towards the mountain Sleme ( DER ), which you should visit in autumn to take pictures of the larches with their beautiful autumn colours. Below are some pictures from our hike to Sleme. Have fun :) I ran in the Berlin Marathon in September. It was a great opportunity to take some iconic photos of Berlin. Most days it rained, so we spent a lot of time indoors and in various museums/galleries. Patience is half the battle for good photos... It paid off when we got some nice light two days before we left. Here are some of my first pictures... more will follow in the next posts. Have fun looking at them.
It's great to see that Lonely Planet ranks Slovenia among the 10 best destinations in Europe in 2014. We are proud to see our country on this list :) Below you can find some of my pictures of Slovenia. During my years abroad as an expat from 2009 to 2014, I stumbled upon a passion that would irrevocably change my perspective on life: photography. This journey began not just as a hobby, but as a passionate pursuit. I immersed myself in the art, took courses and even sold my photos online. My camera became my constant companion, a tool with which I viewed and interpreted the world around me.
When I lived abroad, every day was an adventure, a chance to see something new and capture it with my lens. I learnt to see the beauty in the everyday, the extraordinary in the ordinary. Street corners, local markets, faces full of stories - they all became subjects for my photography. I captured not just images, but moments, each with its own story and emotion. Over time, my approach to photography evolved. What began as a serious endeavour gradually became a source of joy and relaxation. The pressure to take perfect shots gave way to the joy of capturing moments and the magic of perfect light. My focus shifted from the technical aspects of photography to the emotional connection I had with my subjects. Looking back now, I can see how my journey with photography reflects my personal development. From the pursuit of recognition and success to the satisfaction of simple pleasures, my camera has been a faithful witness to this evolution. I'm excited to share some snapshots of this incredible journey with you in this blog. Each photo is a part of my story, a fragment of a life across borders and a testament to the beauty that surrounds us, waiting to be captured. So here they are: not just photos, but memories, frozen in time, each with its own story. I hope they inspire you to see the world a little differently, as my journey with photography has done for me. |
